Punchinellos Winter Menu Tasting

Having gone to Punchinellos many years ago, it was fantastic to see what they had done with the menu and legacy of the restaurant. The food was even better than before and the price point is really manageable. From the moment you walk in the atmosphere in Punchinellos was warm and inviting and you feel right at home.
The winter menu that they put together was a really good combination of each chef’s unique qualities with a lot of personal touches from the newly appointed executive chef, Kieron Conway.
The menu included many mouth-watering dishes, but nothing could beat the beef short rib and the rock salt crusted roasted tomatoes with crispy skinned trout, tender fillets and a very unique pasta side dish. A highlight to be remembered was the desserts. They were well portioned and refreshingly tasteful in the way they controlled the sweetness.
Punchinellos has a lot of local support and is a real destination restaurant in the Monte Casino Fourways area. The new menu lives up to that by portraying the vision and dreams of the restaurant.
All in all our experience was a combination of really good quality ingredients with beautiful presentation and fine dining atmosphere at an affordable price point in a beautiful location. The winter menu is very well balanced and a great restaurant to stay at the top of the list.
We had a sublime Italian experience that transported us out of the bustle of Fourways and into the heart of southern Italy. Can’t wait to go back!
